At Irmie Impianti, the year starts straight in the field.
Following the successful completion of the FAT, our team is now on site at the customer’s premises in Spain for the commissioning phase of the recently delivered 1.5 MW static converter.
The system consists of two containers (20 ft and 45 ft), designed for the adaptation between different voltage levels and current types, with the following key features:
• Input: 3 kV DC
• Conversion:
regulation of input DC voltage through Chopper
conversion from DC to AC through Inverter
voltage step-up through Transformer
• Output: 25 kV AC 50Hz
The system is fully equipped with ventilation, cooling and SCADA control systems, ensuring reliability and high performance during locomotive testing.
