From design to live voltage: a new railway system comes to life in France

Commissioning completed for a railway power supply designed and built by Irmie Impianti Srl.
Main specifications:
• Power: 225 kVA
• Output: 1500 V DC
• Current: 135 A
• Application: powering a section of catenary for railway testing
During the testing activities, the system was tested in no-load conditions, powering the catenary section only, with no train on site.
This phase allowed to verify:
✔ voltage stability
✔ correct functioning of the system
✔ reliability of the installed infrastructure
