We are pleased to share an important milestone: our pantograph test bench installed in Barcelona is designed to test electric and pneumatic pantographs according to the EN 50206 standard.
What does the standard provide?
It sets the requirements for the design and assembly of pantographs, essential devices for collecting electrical energy in railway vehicles.
In particular, with reference to the standard, our bench allows the following tests to be performed:
visual inspection tests;
functional check of ADD (Automatic Dropping Device);
static contact force measurement in different horizontal positions;
dynamic contact force measurement (raising/lowering);
raising/lowering time measurement;
air tightness tests;
electrical resistance measurement;
degrees of freedom of collector head.
